Role and Functions of DIET

DIET plays an important role as a district-level academic nodal institution for organizing pre-service and in-service training for teachers.
In DIET, need-based training is organized for both minority and backward groups, and it provides support for the professional and leadership development of teachers.
As a district-level institution, it provides opportunities for teachers, teacher trainers, and teaching staff to undertake action research.
The main function of DIET is to train and orient teachers and to inform them about innovative teaching practices.
Providing academic and resource support to teachers.

MISSION AND VISION OF DIET BARHAIT SAHIBGANJ.

Mission

To act as a nodal agency to implement various short term and long term schemes of center as well as state agencies of education in the field of school education of the district.
Our mission is to provide academic support and intervention to the schools of the district on a regular basis.
To serve as a leading educational institute of the district for facilitating modern and innovative pedagogical approaches for quality education.
Strategies may be formed towards the 100% attendance of the students as per direction of Right to Educational Act.
2.Implementationof NEP-2020 and NCF-2023 .
3. Training Strategies should be made for quality education in the        classrooms situation without any discrimination.
4.Implementationof Child Protection Act.
5. Quality improvement of the teachers and improvement of the system.
6. To prepare efficient ,competent, committed teachers to serve for the             nation.
7. To create awareness in teacher trainees about the modern trends in         educational field.
8. Moreover to provide students with quality educational experience and       support services that can lead to successful completion of degrees     along with imparting of carrier-oriented educations and basic skills of proficiency.
